Originally designed to furnish a niche, the three-sided construction with long recessed section and two shorter perpendicular arms, the lower base protruding and the whole with a sloped cornice, made up of a continuous cavetto moulding over sunken panels, each with rosette motif, above a frieze of cartouche script panels alternating with rosette panels and divided by star pattern. A further moulding runs above the length of the facias and the two perpendicular ends, each with a geometric patterned panel below, the anterior facias with a patterned frame, the band made up of rosette and blank cartouche panels framing four painted panels with figurative scenes and vistas on the recessed section, a further two painted panels on each of the perpendicular sections. Conforming patterned frames surround the glazed doors, four on the recessed and two on each of the perpendicular sections, as well as the anterior glazed slopes, doors and larger panes on the end facias of the deeper base section. The frames of each vertical door and larger panes also incorporate script panels above and below. The smaller vertical panes surrounding the sloped doors and ends are framed by slender geometric patterned bands. Each glazed door in the upper section has an exquisitely carved linked pair of foliated lotus spandrels to form an arch, a conforming pointed arch at each of the perpendicular sections. Each interior panel is decorated with a geometric string pattern.
