(G21) Painted naturalistically with flesh-pink pigment, with a square jawline and large facial features, her hair secured in a high chignon, some tresses looped around the ears and falling in rippling tendrils across the shoulders, the dhoti drawn open at the chest, the folds of the fabric echoing the rhythm of the figures body, the brahmanic cord tied around the waist, the left hand raised in a variation of vitarka mudra, the right hand lowered with palm facing upwards.
Provenance: In a private Singaporean collection prior to March 1981.
