(G66) Graceful and composed, the bodhisattva of compassion seated elegantly in rajalilasana, her right forearm resting on her raised knee, her left hand supporting the pose, her hair swept up dramatically into an elaborate high topknot, with applied naturalistic blue-black pigment, held in place by an unembellished pierced headdress, some tresses looped around her pendulous lobes and trailing in splayed tresses over her shoulders, the prominent hairline with sharply rendered ripples, framing the round face with pleasingly harmonised features, her heavy-lidded gaze downcast, with her full lips set gently in a pout, her bare chest garlanded with a double-tiered beaded necklace, with several armlets and bracelets adorning her arms, the brahmanic cord slung diagonally across her voluptuous torso and fastened in a loose bow at the waist to secure the skirt of her ‘dhoti’, which falls gracefully down to her ankles, the folds naturalistically rendered in concentric curves, with both feet exposed.
